Admission requirements

Admission Requirements

Explore the criteria needed to gain admission into the NCE programmes at Benjamin Uwajumogu (State) College of Education.

General Entry Requirements

  • Five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects including English Language and Mathematics at not more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB.
  • Acceptable score in the UTME examination.
  • Participation in the College’s Post-UTME screening.
  • Candidate must be at least 16 years of age at the time of admission.

Pre-NCE Programme

  • Applicants with three (3) or four (4) credits including English Language or Mathematics may be admitted.
  • Successful completion of the Pre-NCE programme qualifies the student for transition into full NCE.
  • Designed to prepare candidates for future admission into regular NCE programmes.

Transfer & Direct Entry

Candidates from other accredited Colleges of Education may be considered for transfer into appropriate levels of study upon meeting the College’s transfer policies.

Such candidates must provide official transcripts and satisfy departmental requirements.
